Brain Waves

Brain waves are rhythmic fluctuations in the different parts of the brain.

Delta brainwaves (1-3 Hz) are the slowest, highest amplitude brain waves, and are what we experience when we are asleep.

Theta brainwaves (4-7 Hz) are very slow levels of brain wave activity occurring when we are in a very relaxed state like when we first wake up or are about to go to sleep. *We can heal ourselves and others in this state.*

Alpha brainwaves (8-12 Hz.) are slower and larger brain waves when we close our eyes and begin picturing something peaceful.

Beta brainwaves (13 – 38 Hz) are small, faster brain waves occurring when we are focused and concentrating or trying to solve a problem.

Gamma brainwaves (39 – 42 Hz) are the fastest and most subtle brain waves. Gamma rhythms modulate perception and consciousness.
